Who we are

What we collect and why
- Contact form — your name, work email, company, budget range and what you tell us about your project. Used to reply and, if we work together, to run that work. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- Build vs. Buy Blueprint email — your name and work email, used once to send you the link. We don't add you to a mailing list.
- Visit statistics — pages viewed, how you arrived (referring site and campaign tags) and time on page, tied to a random id. Used to improve the site. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
- Google Analytics — only if you accept cookies. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel — hosts this website and its server logs.
- Resend — delivers the emails sent from our forms.
- Google — Analytics, only after you accept.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on the transfer safeguards UK law requires. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any work that follows, and deleted when you ask unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@valegrid.co.uk and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
