VALEGRID FLOW

Drainage contractor software that prices the job and runs the gang

Drainage contractor software helps a drainage firm price runs, chambers and connections, then run the crews, plant and paperwork once the job is won. VALEGRID FLOW does both in one app: Flow, the AI estimator, prices drainage tenders from the specification and drawings using your own rates; the won tender becomes a live project; and your gang clocks in by QR against the areas you priced, with RAMS for each job, plant compliance, CIS payroll and valuations in the same app.

Price drainage tenders from the spec, at your own rates

Drop the drainage layout, specification and any supplier quotes into a tender. Flow reads the scope, sets out the areas and prices each line from your rate library — runs by the metre, chambers and gullies by number, excavation and reinstatement as you price them. Anything it had to assume is written down, and you approve each stage before the quotation goes out. Or draw the layout to scale in Flow: it checks each run's fall and cover against Part H, schedules the manholes, catchpits, septic tanks, treatment plants, soakaways and land drains you place, and lists the pipe, fittings, bedding and dig ready to price.

RAMS for every drainage job, from your own templates

Deep excavations, chambers, live services and traffic management: write the risk assessment and method statement once and reuse it. Upload the RAMS you already have as a PDF or photo and AI turns it into a reusable template with hazard and control lines and method steps. Each RAMS is tied to its project and comes out as a PDF ready for the principal contractor.

Plant and vehicles on the same register as your people

Excavators, dumpers, rollers and the vans that move them sit in one fleet register with their MOT, insurance and inspection dates flagged before they're due — alongside CSCS cards and tickets for the crew who operate them.

Valuations and CIS from one approved week

Hours booked against each area burn the budget you priced, and the same approved timesheet builds the valuation with retention and the domestic reverse charge, plus CIS payroll at 20%, 30% or gross. You see the margin on each run while the job is live, not at the final account.

How it works

  1. 1

    Price it

Upload the drainage drawings and spec to a tender, or draw your own plan in Flow. Flow sets out the scope and prices it from your rates; you check each step and send the quote.

  2. 2

    Win and set up

Mark the tender won and it becomes a live project with the areas and budgets you priced, ready for the gang.

  3. 3

    Run the job

RAMS go to the principal contractor, the crew clock in by QR on site, plant is tracked, and payroll, valuations and invoices come from the approved week.

Frequently asked questions

Is there software made for drainage contractors in the UK?
Valegrid Flow is built for UK subcontractors who run labour on site, which fits drainage firms closely: tender pricing from the spec, RAMS from templates, QR clock-in for gangs, plant compliance, CIS payroll and valuations from timesheets, all in one app.
Can it price drainage runs and chambers?
Yes. Flow, the AI estimator, prices each line from your own rate library — linear runs by the metre, chambers and fittings by number, or lump sums where you price that way. It records any rate it had to assume so you can check it before sending.
Does it measure pipe runs off the drawings?
Not off an uploaded PDF. Flow reads the scope and notes from drawings and the specification, but quantities come from you, the bill of quantities or the spec, or are recorded as assumptions you can change. If you draw the drainage layout in Flow's own drawing tool, it is to scale, so Flow works out the run lengths, falls against Part H, chambers, bends, bedding and excavation from what you drew, and lists the materials.
How much does it cost for a drainage firm?
Valegrid Flow starts at £29 a month for a sole trader. Payroll with CIS is on the Small crew plan from £149 a month, and larger firms are on the Contractor plan from £499. Every plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance and a 14-day free trial.
