VALEGRID is a UK software house and venture builder. We work with businesses that need custom software, and we build our own products alongside client work — giving us genuine experience of what it takes to deliver at scale.
Our mission
Software that solves real problems.
We exist to build software that earns its place — systems that work reliably, can be understood by the teams who inherit them, and solve genuine operational problems rather than impressive-sounding abstractions.
We are a small, senior team. That is a deliberate choice. Small teams move faster, communicate more effectively, and produce more coherent software. We do not scale headcount to inflate project costs.
We take on a limited number of client engagements at any one time, which means the team you engage is the team that delivers — not a switching roster of junior developers managed from a distance.
Alongside client work, we develop internal SaaS products. VALEGRID FLOW, our construction management platform, is the first of these. Building our own products keeps us honest about what good software actually requires in production.

Simplicity
We solve problems with the minimum viable complexity. Over-engineered solutions are a liability. Simpler systems are more robust, easier to understand, and cheaper to run.

Understand the problem
Before any code is written, we spend time understanding the underlying business problem. Good software starts with good questions.
Design for clarity
We architect systems that are coherent and easy to reason about. Complexity is only introduced when the problem genuinely requires it.
Build with rigour
We follow consistent engineering practices — version control, automated testing, code review, and deployment pipelines — on every project.
Deliver and support
We ship working software and remain available to support it. Production deployment is not the end of our involvement.
